Research volunteer Tim Giblin and CEAL Chief Scientist Jennifer Campos, PhD, are inside the Streetlab virtual reality simulator. Six projected scenes, in this case of University Ave. and Elm St., are merged as one, dynamically update the screen based on treadmill and other sensory inputs. Researchers can study motion for those with physical and other impairments in a controlled and repeatable environment.
